In a move that is expected to change the Indian sports entertainment Watching Culture , Netflix has secured exclusive streaming rights for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) content beginning April 1, 2025.
This Means Netflix Owns Media Rights For all WWE in India, including live events, weekly shows,and Old episodes of WWE. Starting from April 1st Raw netflix will stream wwe content including Wrestlemaina 41.
Triple H announced the Move in Netflix India Official Youtube Channel Earlier Today and it has mixed reaction from the indian fans, some worring this will shrink viewership as India still in Transition Period to OTT Platforms.

According to a WWE statement, “This partnership will provide WWE fans in India with seamless and immersive access to all WWE programming.” Netflix will also offer new and exclusive archival content from the WWE vault, as well as the option to view live or on demand.
“With a committed wrestling fan base, India has been one of WWE’s most active international markets. WWE’s unparalleled blend of athleticism, drama, and larger-than-life narrative will reach even more fans via Netflix. Are you ready?
What does this mean for Sony and WWE in India?

Sony Sports TEN channels will continue to show – RAW, SmackDown, NXT and other events live in India till March 31. But post that date from April 1, all the shows will stream live on Netflix. This means WWE fans in India will need to subscribe to Netflix to follow all the live action from the ring.
This move will certainly see WWE lose some loyal audience in India, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where accessibility and low costs have always been key as fans are used to catching their favourite wrestling matches on cable or the much cheaper SonyLIV app.
It will be fascinating to see whether there is another TV contract in which part of the WWE shows will be broadcast on Sony Sports Network channels or another network. There is currently no information about Sony’s plans to continue broadcasting after April 1. Fans in India will need a Netflix subscription to see WWE action, including WrestleMania 41.
