Shonen Jump’s first new series of 2025 shows great potential

Posted on January 27, 2025 By Binge NXT No Comments on Shonen Jump’s first new series of 2025 shows great potential

Nearly a month into 2025, Weekly Shonen Jump recently revealed that it will launch two new series to start the year, and based on the few information fans now have access to, they already exhibit amazing promise. With two of their greatest series ending last year and Undead Unluck wrapping up this week, there is a lot riding on these future manga to be successful.

Weekly Shonen Jump issue #10 will feature two new series, according to Shonen Jump’s confirmation. The first is the sports manga Embers, which was written by Kurumazagi Kei and illustrated by Nishi Sotaro, a well-known figure in the manga community. The second is titled B No Seisen and was written by the successful mangaka Morihiro Hayashi.

All Eyes Are On Embers And B No Seisen

These Two New Series Hold A Lot Of Promise

It is interesting to notice that there is not any synopsis or information indicating what B No Seisen might be about; instead, just an image of a depressed black-haired figure clutching a notebook was disclosed. Nonetheless, there is considerable anticipation for the manga because of the creator’s background.

However, Embers is the thing that has a lot of admirers talking. Haitani, a strong delinquent, is introduced to the world of football in this sports manga. There is a lot of hype for this series, which is understandable given that football manga like Blue Lock and Ao Ashi are more popular than ever and that the premise is reminiscent of the classic Slam Dunk.

Although the author of Embers is unidentified and has never written anything before, the artist is incredibly gifted and has created sports comics before. With this one-shot, Sotaro demonstrated his artistic ability and energetic style, winning an award for best newcomer with the handball manga Heat Conduction. As anticipated, it looked fantastic when he repeated the process with the parkour manga Freerun Freaks. Since Sotaro has experience with manga that are intense and high-octane, Embers’ art and choreography will be nothing short of spectacular.

Hayashi has been involved in the manga industry since 2016, when their work, Nani demo kai masu, won an award. Then, in 2018, they made their debut on the Shonen Jump+ app with the manga GO BACK HOME, which tells the story of a kidnapper and his murderous victim. The year 2019 saw the release of three singles: After School Comedians, LIFE LIAR FROM HELL, and How to Keep Fairies. Next week, the veteran manga will return for weekly manga, and based on the title, it appears to be a science fiction series.

These Two New Manga Hold A Lot Of Promise

With just a few days till the publication of Weekly Shonen Jump issue #10, anticipation is high for these two manga that show promise and could become bestsellers. With the conclusion of Undead Unluck, the current Shonen Jump manga that started before to 2020 came to an end. Now that the major players have finished, hopefully these two stand out and attract a devoted following.
