I’m pretty sure that practically everyone grew up listening to Linkin Park, and for those of us who didn’t know about the band, Michael Bay’s Transformers movie introduced us to them. Although the franchise has undergone several iterations, hardly any of them have had the same impact as Bay’s Transformers. Fans now have some good news: it has been confirmed that Michael Bay and Paramount are negotiating a Transformers franchise reboot.

In an exclusive story released by Deadline, Michael Bay resigned as director of Fast and Loose due to creative issues with Will Smith. Buried within the same piece, though, was some fantastic news: Michael Bay is formally negotiating with Paramount Studios to bring the Transformers series back to life. However, aside from this confirmation, the report didn’t offer any insight into the degree of progress made between Bay and the studio.
A significant portion of our childhoods was spent watching Michael Bay’s Transformers films. Therefore, it is extremely likely that he will come back to shake things up once more. However, based on the franchise’s most recent live-action film, Rise of the Beasts, which established a link between Transformers and G.I. Joe, we can anticipate that Michael Bay will direct the crossover film. What are your thoughts? Tell us in the comments.
